An Ancient Egyptian Protective Amulet, representing the goddess Ta-urt

The condition of this large amulet fragment is well expressed as seen in the photos. This faience amulet is light green in color, and can be dated to the 23rd dynasty. Collectors may enjoy comparing this specimen with a similar published piece. For those individuals, I would recommended the fine reference work 'Amulets of Ancient Egypt ,' authored by Egyptologist Carol Andrews. (See Plate 39,b.)

Third Intermediate Period, 23rd dynasty, Circa 750 BC.
