Up for auction is a Restored (almost, read on) Neo Geo full size, 2 cartridge, Video Arcade Game. This has the game cartridges of Eight Man, and World Heroes. Also comes with the instruction manual. 's the scoop: I bought this game from an operator out of his warehouse without ever plugging it in before I bought it. He said it worked, and he was mostly right. I've bought from him before, so I took him at his word. I took it to my shop, plugged it in, and it came on just fine. Monitor is great, looks like it's almost new! Completely clear with vivid color, sweet! After watching it for a while, I noticed that t were vertical lines in the graphics of the game while games were being played, and not t when monitor was in attract mode, still really clear. I knew that this wasn't a monitor problem, just something from the cartridge system. This being the first Neo Geo game I've ever had, I just figured that the contacts of the cartridges were just dirty and would need a good cleaning. So, with this thought in my head, I decided to go ahead and whip this game's cabinet into shape and make it look as nice as possible. So I proceeded to do my thing. Disassembled the coin door and repainted it with semi gloss black. Installed new locks and keys. Machine had bottom front corner gussets already installed from the factory, but were rusty and in need of painting. Along with that, the bottom of the cabinet on the front, and on each side, was ratted up. So I obtained some light gauge angle iron, and hand fitted it around the bottom on the front, and each side, and carefully measured, and evenly drilled all the holes and screwed them on. Looking real good at this point. Next, I decided to make the control panel look respectable. Disassembled entire control panel, sanded it down, and repainted it with semi gloss black. The CPO wasn't in too bad of shape, had a few, what looked to be like cigarette burns on it, and I would have liked to have replaced it with a new one, but I couldn't find one at the time, so I decided to go ahead and clean it up, and use the same one. Since it is mounted with screws, it could still be replaced at any time if one came across one. OK, She's all spiffed up now. Time to tackle the line problem. Took out both cartridges, gave them a thorough cleaning along with a thorough cleaning of the sockets. Put them back in, and tried it again. Lines still t Checked all of the other connections, damn lines Still T! So, we have it, I don't know what else to do, I'm not "tech" enough to fix it! Maybe you guys who work on these things all the time already know what to do, or can easily fix it. Get this problem fixed, and you've got a nice game that's all ready had all the cosmetics done. My loss is your gain.
Now for the getting it to you thing, I would really prefer Local Pickup. If this is not an option for you, then I will crate it for a $100 Crating Fee (I've crated games before, and do a really good job of making sure games arrive in secure condition) , and YOU make all the shipping arrangements with YOU being responsible for ALL shipping expenses. Please Note: if you arrange to have this shipped, then you MUST send a truck with a LIFT GATE and PALLET JACK. I don't have a fork lift, ramp, or loading dock, and I'm not big enough to throw it on a truck. Please contact me at auctions end to inform me weather this will be picked up or you it will need to be shipped. If it is to be shipped, then the $100 crating fee will be added to the final value when invoiced to you.
