Nesting Russian Doll Set - Teddy Bear with blue scarf 5 doll Matryoshka set Russian nesting dolls, or Matryoshkas, are world famous and have been made in Russia since the 1880's. Split the Russian Doll open, to reveal another one, split that open and reveal yet another, and so on. All HoneyPotGifts Russian Dolls are hand made and then hand painted in Russia from Russian Silver Birch or Lime Trees, and imported in to the UK by a Russian / Scottish family firm based in Scotland. Due to the hand made nature of our Russian Dolls, the colours and exact sizes will vary so they may not look exactly as they do in our photographs; you'll also might see dark woodgrain marks and colour spots on some of the dolls. We have tried to illustrate some variation by displaying two dolls together at the top of the picture.
