THE SECOND OF TWO IVORY NETSUKES I AM SELLING.

7/8" high x 1 1/2" long, this netsuke is of an Oriental man leaning on his elbow holding the side of his head with a small bag at his feet.

This is part of an 81 year old gentleman's estate ivory collection that I am in the process of purchasing (a little at a time as wife is quite overwhelmed). He had notes with most all of his items. He listed this one (1 of 2 that I am selling) that he purchased them in 1948 at a house sale 15 miles outside of Attica NY in the middle of a snowstorm! The note said he paid $10 for the pair!!! Hopefully, t are worth more today!
