Nevada Trade Tokens, Len Hoskins, John Schilling and Hal Dunn, 1990 "Nevada Trade Tokens" by Len Hoskins, John Schilling, and Hal Dunn, privately published, 1990 95 pages, softbound. Dealer inkstamp on title page, otherwise near mint condition. Brief introduction and "How to Use This Catalog" sections, then a city by city listing of all then-known Nevada trade tokens. UNILLUSTRATED, but full obverse and reverse descriptions of each piece are given, along with the material, shape, size and border types. A very rough "rarity" is given based on the number of collectors reporting having each token in their collection, as well as an estimated "market value" at the time. Since this is the first serious attempt to catalog Nevada tokens, the rarity/value numbers are admittedly quite subject to discussion, but can be quite helpful in differentiating common tokens from rare ones in any event. The three page listing of "Questionable, Spurious, Fantasies, Fakes, etc." alone is worth the price of the book if it keeps you from splurging on something that just ain't right ...
