This is a set of 6 new tongs , 3 new handled punches and 1 new pritchel hole hot cut . The tongs are 3/8 round, 3/4 round, 3/8 square, 1/4 flat, small pick-up tong, and scroll tong. The 3/4 round and scroll tongs have slighly heavier handles. All tongs are about 16 inches in total length except the scroll tong which is 14 inches in total length and they all have the jaws welded to the reins creating a good balance and comfortable feel. The handled punches are round, square, and a countersink punch (sometimes called a dapping tool). The round and square punches are approximately 1/4 inch at the business end. The handles are about 13 inches long and are permanently fixed being twisted into fullered depressions on two sides of each punch and will not come out. The pritchel hole hot cut is made from 7/8 round stock and had a forge welded collar which makes it a perfect fit for a 7/8 inch pritchel hole. This tool can also be used in a vise. The punches and hot cut are all made from 0-1 tool steel and are properly heat treated.I make all of the blacksmithing tools I sell. My shop is very simple and true to old time blacksmithing.
