North Pole Express Line Animated Train Set made by the New Bright Company G Scale. Style No. 181 - Never been out of the box! This snow-capped set comes with the Locomotive engine that has a real light to light it's way and a cool whistle so you know it's a movin'! T's also a coal car that really does supply the power...it holds the batteries (six 'C' cells - not included) to make her roll down the track. Next is the animated Flat bed car that's made for fun! It's holding Christmas trees, presents and a teeter-totter that bounces a snowman couple up and down, up and down, all the way around the tracks! And bringing up the rear is the big red Caboose with merry Santa waving as he's riding the rails! The train measures about 42" long when it is all coupled together, and the locomotive smoke stack is a height of about 6 1/2 " tall. This is a substantial sized train and would be perfect for around the Christmas tree or even to build your Christmas village around! The set comes with 18 pieces of Easy Snap Track (approximately 20 feet total)that can be put together in either a round or an oval style . Along with the lighted headlight and the whistle sound, the train can also play Christmas music as it rolls along! The train features forward and reverse movement and all sounds can be swithed off if you prefer. The set is made primarily of molded plastic of various colors. Instructions are included. This set was originally shipped as a display set so does not have a pictured, lightweight cardboard box with a cellophane front. Instead, it has a plain, heavy duty cardboard box that it slips into inside it's styrofoam bed. (The set actually can be stored more safely in the heavy box during the off-season - it's just not as pretty to look at!)
