NEW Collectors Edition Lighthouse Beer Stein - German madeRETAIL FOR $200+ VERY RARE AND HARD TO FIND Probably the most famous lighthouse in the U.S., Cape Hatteras is located on Diamond Shoals on the outer banks of North Carolina. This area is often referred to as the graveyard of the Atlantic due to the loss of over, 2,200 ships in the area. The first light in the region was built in 1798 and replaced in 1870 after partial destruction during the Civil War. This light is also the tallest in the U.S., standing over 200 feet. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse stein was inspired and authorized by Harbour Lights of La Mesa, California. It was sculpted in the three-densional design style, displaying a panoramic view of the lighthouse. Shoreline, waves, sun rays and clouds complete the body design. This 10 1/2" lidded stein is stoneware and entirely painted by hand. Made in Germany by WesterWald. The polished pewter lid is adorned by a stoneware figurine depicting the top chamber of the house, and is highlighted with gold-leaf accents. Individually numbered.
