New England Early History 2V Fine Bindings 1859 Palfrey Description: History of New England During the Stuart dynasty by John Gorham Palfrey Boston : Little, Brown, octavos (9.25 x 6.25 in.). Volume I – 1859 [c. 1858] - 636 pages; Volume II – 1860 [c. 1860] -640 pages. Fine bindings. Leather spines and corners over marbled paper boards, embossed and gilt spine titles and decorations, all marbled edges, marbled edges, book plates of Edward Fuller (Lion and Crown crest) on pastedowns. The first two volumes of Palfrey's classic early history of New England (the 3rd was published in 1864). Volume 1 is either the first or second printing; Volume 2 is the first printing. The volumes includes a double-sheet map of NE and other maps and illustrations Condition: Very Good-. (Both volumes have some edgewear of covers, Volumes 1 has light scuffing at lower spine. Media Mail, available only for domestic shipping, is trucked to its destination, and shipped by boat to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, On the average it takes 3 to 10 days to arrive, depending on the distance and the vagaries of the US Postal Service. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, APO and other off-shore addresses take longer to arrive.
