This is the Grandmaw A.G. Bear. My grandparents had an eye for a bargain and when they found these bears on sale at Sears (20 years ago) they bought several. Being pack rats they never gave them away and failed to give them as gifts as intended. My grandfather recently passed away and my grandmother is ready to start getting rid of some of these treasures. We have since discovered that this bear and her counter parts (we have several) are highly collectible, so I decided to throw her out and see if we have any takers. I also have Grandpaw A.G. and he is listed so that one bidder may win both and combine shipping if interested. This bear is "new" in the sense that she has never been played with, comes with all original equipment (as far as I know), and is in the original box. This bear is not strapped into the back of the box as she should be, which is why I was able to retrieve the cassette and instructions for the photo seen Also, the cassette and instructions are for Grandpaw A.G. instead of Grandmaw. Since I have several Grandpaws, I looked through all of them, but none seemed to be swtiched so you get the cassette and instructions for Grandpaw with the Grandmaw bear. Finally, I am not sure her hat his properly affixed to her head. T is a pink strap on the hat, but the strap isn't under her chin. The box is in less than stellar condition and the bear is VERY dusty and if you stick your nose right in her fur you can tell she has been sitting in a dusty Southern California basement for years. She is not moldy or mildewed at all...just very old and dusty. From Wikipedia: "AG Bear is a teddy bear that was created and manufactured by Axlon , a company formed by Atari and Chuck E. A look at the manufacturer's tag on AG--which stands for "Almost Grown"--lists their production date as 1985 . The bear was a commercial success, due to its interactive capacity. AG Bear is equipped with a voicebox that mimics the intonation of the human voice or other louder sounds, allowing the bear's user to have a conversation of sorts with it. AG Bear was released in several colors. The traditional bear is brown. Other bear colors include white and grey. Several other bears were released from the company, including GrandPaw AG and GrandMaw AG , , a company formed by Atari and Chuck E. A look at the manufacturer's tag on AG--which stands for "Almost Grown"--lists their production date as 1985 . Axlon was eventually sold to Hasbro , and AG Bear production halted. A number of the bear's fans have tried to resurrect production of the popular toy in a limited run, and also by suggesting production in China ."
