I think you will enjoy the "oooohhh's and AHHHH's" that you will get by adding this TEA POT to your collection and/or Dinner Table this Holiday Season. If it will be a gift; I don't think you can go wrong, if the person collects or appreciates Tea Pots. I was given this Tea Pot in 1985, by my Cousin as a gift when she visited Williamsburg, Virginia. I do not collect Tea Pots, but I thought it was so beautiful that I kept it as a remembrance of her thoughtfulness. It was never displayed, but stored in it's original box in my pet-free, smoke-free, dry environment home (not in the basement, attic or gaage). Measurements and desciption : From spout to handle it is 10", 6-1/2" high and about 4" in depth. The lid has a lip so that it stays in place until you lift it and slide it forward so that it does not lift straight up. The gazed finish is shimmery and the pot itself is very substantial; it weighs almost 3 pounds. The top of the pot resembles a "thatched roof" and the scenes around 3 sides of the base are of a "Colonial Tea House". The fourth side seems to be decorated with a modern house kitchen with a sign "1985" over the red, outside door.
