From Katrina to December, 2006, authorities had seized 78 meter covers at Louis Armstrong Airport. The NEW ORLEANS REAL meter cover, with its Certificate of Authenticity and product tag, was featured in the story as a legitimate way to own a piece of New Orleans history without stripping away part of the unique culture and ambiance of the city.
