This is an oustanding early stencil wheel that you are not likely to see again. It is made of thin pressed Brass with a wood handle and measures 13" in diameter.....weighs 11 oz. It has all letters A-Z and numbers 0-9 along with $,&,1/4, 1/2, No, lbs, Yds,....also has a comma, period, and cents stencil. The slider is of slightly thicker Brass stock and circles the wheel to get you to the proper stencil. It has a great aged patina with one area of light pitting near the $ sign per photo. I would guess it could have been used by many business possibly in retail, box makers, sign makers, carpentry, architectural etc. It is stamped in three areas per photos and the trademark logo also appears on the end of the slider. If I learn more about this piece, I will update the auction.....it came from an old tool collection. Great care will be taken when packing, but insurance is recommended and determined by final selling price. Thanks for looking
