Just when you thought you had made your last USMC move.....time to pack up and go to VA Beach (could be worse). Time to purge again, definitely for the LAST time! This auction is for an Arts & Crafts piece by Newcomb College Pottery. It is a transitional piece that dates to 1914 and was decorated by Cynthia Littlejohn. What makes this piece so unusual is the four "tabs" that protrude from the rim of the bowl. I have shown a close up of the rich blue glaze. The piece is in excellent condition free from chips and repairs. It does have a tight, faint line w the tab attaches to the bowl on one side of three of the tabs at the rim. The longest is just 1/3". Please see the close-ups as it is VERY minor. It is an affect from w the tab features of the bowl attach to the piece, but I did not feel that I could list it as mint. It measures 9" wide and 3 1/2" tall, a nice large piece. It has the traditional NC mark on the bottom to include all of the artists marks. These early transitional pieces have the markings highlighted in blue. As always, your money back if you are not completely satisfied, you will be thrilled, I promise! Good luck and bid now as t is NO reserve!!! Thanks for your time, Marcy.
