This auction is for a vintage single page from the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper dated May 17, 1931. This original sports page has a large photo montage of Young Stribling and Max Schmeling. The full width headline across the top of the page says, " SCHMELING AND STRIBLING ARE SLATED TO INVADE CONNEAUT LAKE AND GEAUGA." Schmeling and Stribling were traning for their big match in Cleveland. This page is 17"x21" and is in excellent condition. Please see photos for more info. Thanks.
