The Next War: Modern Conflict in Europe (SPI) 1978 The map stretches from the passage to the Baltic Sea north of Denmark through the Alps and into Italy on the south. There are 3 campaign scenarios and 6 smaller ones. Units are Divisions and Brigades with some smaller support units. Air units are squadrons. Naval units are individual ships and flotillas. Map scale is 14 kilometers per hex (8.75 miles) Turns are 2 days with naval turns representing 4 hours. The naval game can be played by itself and it greatly increases play time if played with a campaign. When I got the game all the counters were dumped in the box loosely. It has taken a long time to sort. I have separated units by nationality and unit type. All combat units have been sorted and matched to printed counter scans. They are complete except for one unit which is the Liechtenstein palace guard. It has no offence capability and a defense value of one, I don't think it is even permitted to move. It may still be mixed with the game markers which have not been sorted or counted. There are 400 markers (though not counted) and they will be stored in a plastic bag. The maps are in very good condition with some tape remains at the spots where small side maps attach. The rules and scenarios and charts are all present and in good condition.
