An ORIGINAL Dyna-Jet Red Head Pulse Jet Engine by: Curtis Automotive Devices, Inc NIB This is an exceptionally RARE find. But where did it come from? A fellow modeler had recently passed away and we are helping his widow get some spending money from all the hobby supplies her husband had squirrelled away over the years. The earnings from this auction are going to her. I found this box and reconized it as a late 1950's production of the Dyna-Jet Pulse Jet Engine. If you look at all the images you will see an ad from page 57 of the June 1957 issue of American Modeler magazine describing the engine and detailing the $35 New price tag that you can also see on the box and on the literature that was packed with the engine. I do not have a document that specifically states it to be 1957 but it has to be close to that. Check out the enclosed Price List for spare parts from that period! This engine has never seen fuel and I can just image our buddy saving up his paper route money back in 1957 to buy it and dream about what fast airplane he'd put it on.
