I'm Tom Hanna and this is why I'm selling on eBay. � I live in Wichita, Kansas, which is just about dead center in these wonderful United States. � There comes a time in every life when we crest one of those hills, look out at the horizon and realize we're not going to be here forever. � I'm still active in business and will be for the foreseeable future. But, I look foreword with considerable anticipation to expanding my life and knowledge; I want to get back to creating things with my hands, I want to travel the back roads. I want stop for lunch where I don't have to choose between a Big Mac and Taco Bell. I want to visit my friends before they're gone and above all, do it with less baggage. � I've spent way too much time gathering up 'stuff'.� My house is full of stuff, my basement is full of stuff, our barn is full of stuff.� I rent buildings to keep my stuff and I spend way too much to insure stuff. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed searching, finding, gathering, restoring, modifying and building stuff and a little of it I will hang onto. But most of it I will never get around to doing anything with and ought to turn it into traveling money or something on which insurance premiums needn't be paid. � My areas of interest have been several and over the years I've wobbled back and forth between them. Here are a few: � Cars As far as I can remember, cars, trucks and buses have fascinated me. The early part of my working life was spent in auto dealership service departments, then building hot rods, racecars ultimately doing it full time. Later I spent a lot of time with 911's and 930 turbos. I still have a highly modified 930 that turned the quarter in 11:50-123 mph and was featured in Bruce Anderson's book. It hasn't seen daylight since '89. I've got tons of Porsche stuff. Also a '35 Ford 3 window, '53 Cadillac Coupe, '59 Ranchero and lots of drag race parts from the '50s, '60s and '70s. � HO scale trains Like a lot of other train nuts, I've had these grand dreams of building that giant layout inspired by John Allen and Malcolm Furlow. Mostly I've just bought 'stuff'. I have over 250 brass locos still in the boxes, plus brass rolling stock, passenger sets and brass structures. Most of this is Challenger, Overland, W&R, Division Point and so on. 900 plastic locos Kato, Athearn Genesis, MTH, etc. and 1,500 pieces of Proto 2000, Kadee and the like rolling stock. Approx. 25 Fine Scale and South� River Modelworks kits un-built and 6 or 8 finished. Cabinets full of detail parts, decoders, soldering stations, paint booth, ultrasonic cleaners, new in the box precision lathe, mill, tools and so forth. Most all of it purchased over the last 10 years. And no, I never got around to that layout. These items have been maintained in a temperature and humidity controlled environment.� � Railroad Books If I want to know about something, I've never been bashful about buying books.
