NIB Limited Edition 'Hope' Merrythought Bear - 9/11 UK Appeal for America. This is a beautiful Black bear from Merrythought that is new in box (box a little dented) with all original labels attached that is an investment piece/future collectable. It is number 17,557 of a limited edition (no indication though of the edition content) that was commissioned for the "This Morning America Appeal" & produced by Merrythought. All profits from the original sale of the bear back in 2001/02 went to the World Trade Centre Disaster Fund which had been created in Britain to provide relief of hardship or distress for the families & dependents of victims in need as a result of the terrorist outrage in New York on the 11th September 2001. The bear is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity that is signed by the Chairman/Trustee of the disaster fund, Lorne Spicer - presenter of 'This Morning' & Oliver Holmes the MD & Grandson of the founder of Merrythought. With all original labels intact the bear is 'plush' with Polyester fibres. The edition number that appears on the certificate is also written inside the Merrythought White label. The bear is in a sitting position with dimensions of 6" high & approximately 5" wide. I am happy to ship out of the UK but please contact me prior to bidding for postage cost.
