In 2000 MARX re-issued some of their old 1960 popular action figures. This Johnny West was one of them. Using the original molds they brought Johnny back along with all of the original accessories that came with the vintage figure. Johnny's body is molded in the familiar caramel color. His skin and hair color match the originals. His hat,vest,bandana,chaps,gunbelt, canteen and gold sacks are all molded in that familiar shade of brown. Instead of the original dark brown accessories, you are given both black and silver copies faithful to the originals in every way but color. Accurate copies of the original manual and instruction sheets are included also.I have an original Johnny and it looks just like this one (except the plastic on this one is likely higher quality and probably won't crack with age).There is a picture included of Johnny's head inside the packaging. It looks like a paint splotch on his forehead.... it isn't. The paint is actually on the inside of the cellophane window of the box and not the figure. I think they added the figure to the box 14 years ago before the paint completely cured so some smeared on the window. The figure itself has never left the box. The smaller accessories had shifted in shipping to me (and likely will again) so I rounded them up and put them back in their slots.The figure and box are in exactly read more
