we have a very nice antique miniature tabletop drill press. The base, table and frame are nicely finished cast iron, and the remainder, including the chuck are made of steel. It has about 1 & 1/2 inches of travel and the chuck has about 1/4" capacity. The cast iron table is just over 3 inches in diameter, and is adjustable in height and can also be swung aside for drilling to the base. The drill head is also adjustable in height, so although it stands just over 14 inches tall, you can easily clear a 6 inch piece under the table for drilling!! This little press will be nicely drive with round belting, and it would likely run beautifully off a standard watchmaker's countershaft set up. So if you have a watch or clockmaker's lathe set up, this would look great mounted on the same table! A very cute antique miniature drill press!!
