Today we have for you a very interesting antique RR lantern! It is 6and 3/8 inches tall, 5 " deep including hanger, 4 1/4 wide, 4 1/4 front to back without hanger.

The kerosene fuel tank has German printing on the top as seen in photos, and it appears to be in great shape (no holes). I don't know what it says, but something is forbidden! The back is solid, sides and front door have glass inserts. The wick is long plus the adjuster works good. Door latch and metal parts show some surface rusting, considering it was retrieved from our old gold mine tunnel entrance, I am surprised it is all together!! Lantern has what I believe to be a porcelain reflector, handle is heavy steel wire and wood grip. Also has a detachable hook for hanging on tree branches.

The printing on fuel tank is: ALLEINGEBRAUCH VON ARARRSTOFF VERBOTTEN! I added many photos so that you can see the details for yourself...Enjoy and bid! We have no idea how old it is, but possibly be late 1800's...
