This French Infantry Officer's Sword Epée is a Model 1767. It is mounted with a straight double-edged blade that measures 32 inches in length. The blade shows to have received cleanings over the years and although is stained with light surface pitting scars, does remain in good condition with some of the original engraving still present. The beautiful guard is designed with a simple elegance and frames a wonderful wire wrapped hilt. The quillion shows a well done old repair, however one of the finger loops is missing, otherwise the guard and hilt remain in good and tight condition. Overall measuring 38 1/2 inches in length. T is no scabbard. T is no reserve. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this auction)
