Offering for Sale Nice Greyware Mississippian Bottle that is just less than 5 and 1/2 high and 5 and 1/2 wide with a three inch mouth opening. Many buyers are asking for totally solid pieces in the past weeks..I AM ANNOUNCING THIS VESSEL TO BE TOTALLY FREE FROM REPAIR AND RESTORATION OF ANY KIND AS FAR AS I CAN TELL AFTER INSPECTION..I see no cracks or areas of damage other than surface blimishes .This bottle is solid to the touch and feel and sits well on a nice flat round base..T are nice fire clouds on it and if you look close you can see MOLE bites and scratches..that were placed t during the 500 years it was buried. They are kinda neat and t are about three or four places w over the ages, a mole came along and ran into the solid bottle and just could not go any further..Inside the bottle, it looks like the creator of this great Native American Pottery Bottle did not get all the original clay shaped before it dried or t is some dried clay inside just as hard as the pot..You can see the potters marks on it..it is about an inch thick in the bottom..This is a heavy little bottle that might just last 500 more years..This piece was legally collected in Mississippi county in the mid 60's and sold by the collectors heirs.
