Circa: 1879. Up for auction just in time for the holidays is a 100% Original Ingraham Ionic Time & Strike Rosewood clock in as found condition. I call this a project clock for a couple of reasons, The original dial has wear to it but it is original and unrestored, I would leave it as you see it. The second reason is the minor age crack in back board not bad at all, And it does not go all the way through the case. The movement is like brand new and has been professionally oiled and cleaned. It has the fancy Grape leaf solid brass pendulm a option on this clock, as well. I do not guarante project clocks to run but t seems to be no problem with this one. The label is quite nice with added Jewelers label as well. The finish, Hands, glasses are all original. The way you want this to be for collecting reasons. The clock is feautured in Tran Duy Ly book on page 139 clock number 365. It is 22 inches high has a nice size 10 inch dial and a compact size for limited areas around your home as well. In the year 1998 this clock had a retail value of over $500.00. that was about ten years ago. Clock is a eight day time & Strike clock on a nice sounding coil gong, the time and strike models are worth a great deal more than time only Ionic's. These are quite collectible the rosewood graining is lovely to look at. This would make a great gift for the holidays and with minor work, this could be pristine and you can own it for way below the retail value. The case has no damage and the rosettes are mint. If you are a handy and like fix up projects clocks believe me this needs very little to be a beauty, then this is the clock for you Enjoy and "Happy Holidays" from Hawkwhy-o.
