Up for auction is a beautiful antique Japanese bronze elephant.
Circa Meiji (1862-1912) period, Japan.
He is a nice large size and stands at 9 5/8" inches tall x 14" inches
long x 4 1/2" inches across.

Nice detail and beautifully cast with realistic texture and wrinkles
in the elephant's skin. The patina is rich and dark.
He has a marking on his underside belly.

He is in excellent condition throughout except his right side tusk
which has been repaired at the base w it fits into the bronze.
It is not noticeable.

This is a lovely collectible Japanese bronze and lucky as well.
