PICTURE OF ACTUAL BAYONET IS NOT CORRECT - WILL UPDATE TOMORROW!!! This is the bayonet for the Model 95 Re-worked Mannlicher Carbines and Model 95/34 Mannlicher Carbines. They fit my Austrian and Hungary carbines that are in 8x 56 cal.nicely. Note: This is a nice arsenal reconditioned bayonet that is probably over 100 years old See large picture to see it. It would clean up -even more with a little cleaning, but I'll leave that up to the buyer /collector. The Rifles were used in WW1 and then cut to carbine length and rechambered for the 8x56R rifle caliber. The rifles were re-worked by Austria for military police in WW11 and also issued as substitute standard for the German Army in WW11. The rifles are presently being imported in considerable numbers, but the bayonets are difficult to obtain to complete the collection. The bayonets were used from 1895 through WW11- like the rifles appear to have been arsenal re-worked with the wood grips replaced and polished . I was lucky to obtain a very few for my collection and a few to sell to other collectors. The Scabbard Frog retainer has CE WG proof marks - not sure what they stand for, but I believe it is Austrian - see picture. The frog retainer has also been re-enforced at the arsenal - note the brass color, the arsenal and some people usually cover them with black paint, but I didn' read more
