YOu are bidding on one nice original USGI WW2 blade marked M3 trench knife and M8 scabbard set. The Kinfe is in very good condition, blade is full no nicks/dings or cracks, lightly sharpend, but not filed down to a tootk pick, finsh on blade is good, thining, but no rust or pits. Blade is marked US M3 IMPERIAL. Leather handle is tight, and in great shape, not all dried out. End cap is also tight, has the flaming bomb stamp on it. Cross guard is not bent out of orginal shap, it does have a minute (less than 1/16 of an inch) wiggle to it does not detract from the knife but I am honest about every thing. Really a great knife, not a high end mint collector peice but a very nice example for a good price, that is not a rusty tooth pick relic.Scabbard is an orginal M8, it does not have the wire belt hook, it still has just one big web loop for hanging on the belt as most early ones did. Fiberglass is free from cracks/chips, paint is near perfect. Metal is sound, light patina on it, but no major rust of pitting, well marked. Webbing is also in great shape, and snap works perfectly.
