's another very nice piece of Salmon Falls pottery similar to other pieces we've been listing off and on for a couple weeks now. This is a handcrafted or artisan crafted large and relatively tall oil lamp with pottery stoneware base made by Salmon Falls Stoneware in NH. This company is located in Dover NH and makes pottery using old style methods and designs for salt glaze type pottery. They are relatively thick and primitive in design consistent with the pottery or earlier times. This lamp is about 16 inches tall with the glass chimney in place. It has a nice carrying handle and a relatively hefty base. I'd say this one has never been used as a lamp, most likely just used as a decorative piece. It is about 4 inches in diameter at the base and graduated in shape out to about 5.5 inches at the widest part of the body. T is the Salmon Falls mark impressed into the side near the base and it indicates this piece was made in 1998. Near this impression is the artisan mark that allows folks to know who the person was who crafted the piece. Very nice overall, no cracks, chips or signs of use to mention. That's about it. When packed this Salmon Falls crafted pottery pieces will weigh about about 4 lbs so we'll use USPS Parcel Post service as the lowest cost postal alternative to the domestic US buyer.
