's a wonderful enamelled pattern Antique victorian REAL cranberry glass pickle castor thats been in our family for many many years, as far as we're concerned it's in excellent overall condition for it's age, measuring 6 1/2" tall to the toptip of it's handle and 4 1/2" in diameter, as you can see in the photo's the enamelled pattern is still in excellent condition with little to no wear, the cranberry glass itself is excellent also with no chips, dings, cracks or scratching, just to point out this is REAL CRANBERRY glass not that cheap flashed on crap that to us is basically worthless, we're not sure what kind of metal was used for the finial handle & such & we've never polished the castor itself, we collect alot of primitives & we love rich dark patina such as this it looks better with our primitives, we'll let the winning bidder do that if needed, the finial handle is in excellent condition no damage whatsoever, the finial handle, lidrim & rim could be silverplate we're not 100% sure we don't know our metals that well, the lower part of the lid that sits in the castor has just a slight bend but very slight & doesn't effect the way the lid fits/sits, it's not really a problem but wanted to mention it, the tongs are in excellent shape aswell & marked McG.C.C2 King's Plate, we don't see any mark on the castor itself it may be eluding us but we have looked close, we've left good clear photo's for you too see if you have any questions..need more closeup photo's or need a shipping quote please email us and we'll get back to you quickly, anyone with zero feedback wanting to bid please say a hello to us before the auction ends or your bid will be cancelled, sorry that's how it is...good luck bidding!!! !!!WE SHIP WORLDWIDE!!!
