Made for Gimbel's Thimbels in Boothbay Maine, this Nicholas Gish thimble is in excellent condition. It has a seacoast theme...starfish, whale, lobster, and seabird with a gold "wave" border running along the bottom. The top is pewter. One side, the heart says "Thinking of You" and the other says "Think of Us". It is signed by Nicholas Gish, and also has what I think is the phone number of Gimbel's thimbles and the stores name engraved on the top . A very unusual piece. A nice addition to your collection or a great memento of your visit to the beautiful State of Maine!
