is another great Nicholas Gish movable thimbles being placed up for your consideration. This one is his ever popular (and harderto find) rotating carousel or Merry-Go-Round thimbles. The core thimble is a silver metal thimble but the outside is a pewter carousel with three circus clowns that each appear twice around the carousel. Each clown has a different theme. T is one carrying balloons, one on a unicycle, and one that is juggling balls. And, of course, the carousel "cage" spins just like a real carousel. The cap rests on the carousel band like an open six-petaled flower. The band above the clowns has six panels each containing a large star in high relief. It has a nice crisp Nicholas Gish signature on the bottom rim. It is about 1 3/8" tall and in excellent condition. With the death of Nicholas Gish on December 23rd of 2006, the world has lost a great and prolific pewter designer.
