Nick Markakis game used Bowie Baysox minor league jersey 2005. This is possibly the final minor league jersey that Nick ever used before his permanent promotion to the Orioles to being the 2006 major league season. Nick is currently one of only 3 players in the history of major league baseball to have at least 43 doubles in 4 consecutive seasons. He leads all of major league baseball in total doubles over the past 4 years. This jersey is a home worn Baysox minor league jersey that was worn by Nick during his stint in Bowie AA in the O's minor league system at the end of the 2005 minor league season. Nick played a total of 32 games for the Baysox and was then given a non roster invite to spring training in 2006. Nick made the team out of spring training and has never returned to the minors. This size 46 jersey is tagged properly and comes with the name plate which is a nameplate with Markakis screen printed on the jersey. The jersey has the American Flag patch on the back above the nameplate. The jersey shows light overall use which would be consistent with being worn for only up to 12 - 16 total games at the end of a season. There is definite wear in the wash tag which shows crinkling and fading. The jersey is accompanied by a photo of Nick batting and wearing a home #17 jersey for the Baysox as well as a letter from the team attesting to the jersey's authenticity. The jersey was acquired directly from a collector that acquired it from the Baysox following the end of the 2005 season in a private auction/sale for team ticket holders. Nick is a future all-star who will reach 1000 career hits at only 27 years of age in the 2011 season. He is on track to have a very productive career and will be a fixture for the O's for years to come. He is the current face of the Baltimore Orioles and is poised for a breakout season since the O's have heavily revamped their lineup giving Nick some real support in the batting order for the first time during his five seasons in Baltimore.
