This is an opportunity to acquire an incredibly scarce piece of early twentieth century railway history. The Nile - Red Sea Railway published by McCorquodale, undated but c1906. Beautifully produced with fold-out map and silk patterned endpapers. Bound in red calf with gilt decoration. 6 pages of text about the construction and the reasons behind the railway, which was completed in 1905. 4 pages of details of the railway. 36 pages of black and white photographs of the construction, the terrain and the machinery used. 47 pages in total with the title page. The map is unpaginated. This book is extremely scarce. The only other copy I can find went at auction for a considerable sum. Heavy book, over 1.6kg.
