Nineteen Eighty Four George Orwell 1949 1st Am Edition Click Photos to Enlarge Description ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ nineteen eighty four ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by george orwell. published 1949 (i think) by harcourt brace and company. stated first american edition. and it is book of the month club too as indicated by rear deboss and on the dust jacket. hardcover. dust jacket. 314 pages. condition? eh, well, the dust jacket is pretty beat up.. has tears, chunks missing around edges, has very heavy age-related yellowing and has some mold stains. front book cover has some small whitish areas of wear. back cover has heavy mottled damage from mold... please see photo. corners a little bumped and worn.
