I have enjoyed this most delicately toned 9" amaryllis vase for about twelve years. Unlike the Bleeding Hearts, which has Coralene in every spot possible, this vase has Coralene in highlighted spots and has shadows in other spots. All the Coralene is outlined with gold. I do not believe that t is any Coralene missing, although t may be a few grains missing at the left side of the lowest stalk. It is difficult for me to tell. T are a few darkened grains at the very top. Otherwise the Coralene is perfect. Not bad for a vase that is almost 100 years old. The bottom ring of gold was not drawn to absolute perfection when it was applied, but it is still as it was applied with the exception of one missing dot. The top ring of gold was applied with a more steady hand. Again, t is a bit of gold loss at the rim area because of our twice weekly dustings. I have photographed the vase so that it is possible for you to view all the porcelain, which is in excellent condition. It has one tiny firing dot. This vase is clearly marked with the JVP mark 242. This one still has the word "Japan" on it. It also has a yellow spot on the bottom, from a shop tag which has been t all these years and I just removed. Thank you for viewing my auction.
