Up for your bidding consideration is a Beautifully detailed Floral and Gold unmarked Nippon Tankard. Offered in this No Reserve Auction is a simply pretty 13" Tankard featuring Pink, White, and Lavender Poppies in various stages of Blooming. The stems and leaves are a Mint to Light Green in color. If you look closely t are hundreds of small pencil point size beads outlining the stems, leaves and around the base of the tankard. The primary background color is done in a Rich Gold wash giving the piece a unique yet rich appearance. T is still some of the original gold scrolling to be seen on the handle but some has worn away due to its age and use over the years. As mentioned this tankard is unmarked but we are confident it is Nippon as we have three others of this same mold in our private collection and shop. Two of those are marked with the Mark 89 Royal Kinran Crown Nippon in Blue backstamp, while the other like this one is unmarked. We believe this tankard and our other unmarked tankard are pre 1891 Nippon items. The overall condition is outstanding with no Chips, Cracks, Repairs, or Grazing. As mentioned t is some gild wear primarily around the handle and opening. Truely a conversation piece and Beautiful example of pre 1891 Handpainted Nippon. Do not be mistaken by our No Reserve and low starting bid for the quality of this

We reserve the right to remove the item before auction ends if we find the bids are below our investment cost or t is no interest shown for the item. Payment is due within three days of recieving our final invoice. Please do not make payment until receipt of our final invoice as postage and insurance cost will vary depending on the winning bid price and bidders location. Please ask questions before bidding. We invite you to see our Limoges and R.S. Prussia porcelain items we are listing this week with No Reserves and low starting bids. Good Luck and Happy Bidding.
