GREAT Preserve, Jam or Marmalade Pot marked NIPPON with the red “ M “in the laurel wreath. Nice pedestal base with gilt trimmed foot rim lifts the piece to a height of 3 1/ 8 “ at the porcelain rim edge. The circumference around the mid section is 8 3 / 4 “. The scene depicts a lakeside with a several small houses near a small treed area, sailboats on the lake in the distance. Beautiful colours on this piece almost best describe as magenta highlights. Enlarge the photographs and see what we mean. Great yellow back drop and the piece is in very good condition. Some wear to the gilt around raised pedestal foot and some as well as well to the Silver plate lid marked EPNS. Lid a bit loose from years of polished but not bad or really a concern at all.
