RARE - Nippon Rectangular Wall Plaque - Landseer's Newfoundland Up for bid is a super rare piece of Nippon . This rectangular hanging wall plaque is titled Landseer's Newfoundland and is featured in Joan Van Patten's ABCs of Collecting Nippon , page 130. This genuine piece of Nippon was made between 1911 and 1921. It is 10-1/4" wide and about 8" tall. It has the M-in Wreath marking. A rare find. Be the envy of the other Nippon Collectors. The painting appears to be based on Sir Edwin Henry Landseer's " A Distinguished Member of the Humane Society". Please email me with any questions or if you need additional photos.
