The Russian Dancers Nippon Wine Jug features four men dressed in cossack attire dancing outside on a city street. This wine jug can be seen on Pg 269 of Joan Van Patten's book, ABC's of Collecting Nippon Porcelain. The background color of the jug is green, the heavily applied moriage is brown and white. A very small amount of background brown paint on the top of the handle has rubbed off......please see photos. A small amount of background green paint has rubbed off at the base...please see photos.Size: Height is 9 5/8" Makers Mark on the underside of the jug is blue JVP #47, Morimura Brothers, M Wreath. A portion of the original sale sticker is also on the underside. No chips, cracks or restoration. The original cork is intact. In July 2006 I sold (Listing #290008691108) the twin to this jug to a buyer in Japan for $500. This jug is in finer condition. Buyer pays shipping and insurance is required tfore it's included in the shipping amount. Non US buyer must use PayPal and provide their confirmed shipping address at the end of the auction for a shipping quote.
