is a nice example of hand painted Nippon from Japan. The creamer and compote are small, and were souvinors from Washington D.C. The measure 5" across the compote from handle to handle, and 2 1/2" high. The creamer measures 4' in width and2 3/4" high. Both pieces are in very good condition with minimal gold paint rub to the handles of the compote, and slight rub to the C and A in capitol on the creamer. Both have bright vibrant colors of greens, yellows, greys, pink, maroon, and the gold. The hand painting is lovely.
