This lantern has 3 ¼ Blue Adlake Kero globe with raised letters " CNX" near the top on one side and "ADLAKE KERO". on the other The globe is in excellent condition with small chips in the top and bottom edges, but NO Cracks. The top reads: "ADLAKE KERO " and NKP." The bottom reads ADLAKE 4-6O and PATF......(can't read) . *Some lanterns were supplied with a heavy weighted base, such as this lantern. These so-called "ring-base" lanterns were used on locomotives, cabooses, and passenger cars. The heavy base provided extra stability for the lantern while equipment was in motion. Such lanterns were often placed on the platform of a caboose or passenger car to mark the end of a train when marker lamps were not available." I have lightly cleaned the lantern but have left any restoration for the winning bidder. You can find a short history of this railroad at /history.html Insurance is required on final value .
