Thanks for looking at this beautiful vanity/dresser set by Fenton Art Glass of Williamstown, WV. You are bidding on a four piece set including a powder bowl and lid (approx. 4 inches to top of lid), and a perfume/cologne bottle with stopper (approx. 9 inches to top of stopper). The bowl and bottle are made of white opalescent glass in the melon shape, and both have hand painted roses and daisies. The flowers were cold painted, so t is some wear to the flowers. The set is from the 1930's or 40's, so it predates the Fenton mark that is now stamped into the glass. The lid and stopper are both clear. The bottle has a clear ribbon around the top. I believe this is sometimes referred to Silvercrest. I can find no chips or cracks in the opalescent glass. The powder bowl does have a rough spot, which might have been formed in the making. It doesn't appear to be damage to me (please see pic). The lid of the bowl has a very small and shallow flake to the inside of the lower rim. It looks as if an attempt was made to polish this blemish out, as t are some light scratches around the flake. This flake does not detract from the piece when displayed. I'm adding the white milk glass vanity tray pictured. It was purchased with the Fenton vanity set, although I do not believe the tray is Fenton--they sure look good together, though.
