27 in. tall by 19 in wide. I don't know the age of this clock, but it has been my collection for many years, and in storage before that.
It is in very nice condition, no chips, dents or scratches. Most all of the finer cuckoo's were all made in the Black Forest area in Germany. It runs and cuckoo's with a low rich tone, and the spiral gong clangs as the bird comes out of the door with his beak moving. Some of the special features of this clock is the large Stag head, the antlers having a 10 in. spread, and both glass eyes intact. The carvings along the roof line are 19 in. wide. On the left side of the dial is a 12 in rabbit complete with legs and glass eyes, and on the right side of the dial is a 12 in. pheasant with wings and glass eyes intact. Just above the dial are 2 rifles each 11 in. Around the dial is a 9 in. powder horn. Below the horn is the 6 in. powder bag. Lots of carved leaves. As you can see, this is quite a unique piece. It comes with 2 weights 1500 gr. each. It is a nice size clock for a home, and a great conversation piece. I am not a dealer, just a retired clock collector for over 50 years.
