What is a Gateway Cachet? It is an autographed postal envelope which has been postmarked on the day honoring an event or anniversary of any number of sports figures. These authentic autographs were obtained by Gateway Stamp Co. of Florissant, Missouri (more than a million in 27 years) and because of the postal cancellations occurring on that day and in the city where the event took place, these were limited in production. Each comes with a silk photo or artwork affixed along with the athlete's signature. These are gorgeous collectibles. This is a Nolan Ryan autographed 19 81 5 th No Hit ter cachet.
