London based Chelsea won the Champions League with Andre Villas-Boas adding the amusement factor early on and Fernando Torres finding his form late in the season. Newcastle’s Papiss Demba Cisse broke all sorts of scoring records on Tyneside with 13 goals in 14 games as the Magpies ended the season strongly in 5 th place. Fulham’s Clint Dempsey plundered 16 goals from midfield while Swansea’s Scott Sinclair kept fans on the edge. Luis Suarez and Nikica Jelavic were the Merseyside stars while Bolton’s Adam Bogdan and Blackburn’s Paul Robinson were the league’s busiest goalkeepers. In Germany, Borussia Dortmund continued their domination by winning the domestic title with Jurgen Klopp as the brain and Mat Hummels as the on-pitch general. Mario Gomez was in great goal scoring form for Bayern, as the Bavarians reached the Champions League final. Juventus finished the Serie A season unbeaten thanks to the defence of Gigi Buffon and Stephan Lichtsteiner , with Claudio Marchisio pulling the strings in midfield. AC Milan featured prominently too, with Kevin Prince Boateng and Pippo Inzaghi the key figures. Over in Spain, Real Madrid finally wrestled the La Liga title from Barcelona despite Lionel Messi ’s record breaking 73 goals in all competitions. The attacking prowess of Mesut Ozil , Cristiano Ronaldo , Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso proving far too hot for the rest of the league. Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente and Iker Muniain dumped Manchester United out of the Champions League and reached the EURO Cup finals, capping off a great season for Los Leones . Mathieu Valbuena and Steve Mandanda had excellent seasons for Marseille, but the talk of the town belonged to little-fancied Montpellier, who secured the Ligue 1 title with Younes Belhanda , their biggest inspiration. Burak Yilmaz , Axel Witsel and Neymar also shone in their respective leagues. This series of 44 figures features each of these amazing figures and much, much more.
