Noritake China Avon 5531 * * * Up for auction I have an almost complete set of 1960's vintage Noritake Avon dinnerware. White with ½" beige edge bands and three thin lines gold trim. 68-piece set includes: 8 dinner plates (10.5" diameter) 8 salad plates (8" diameter) 8 bread and butter plates (6.25" diameter) 8 saucers (6" diameter) 7 cups 7 rimmed soup bowls (7.75" diameter) 8 rimmed cereal bowls (5.5" diameter) Sugar bowl with lid Creamer 1 gravy boat with attached plate 1 oval vegetable bowl (7.25" x 10.5") 1 round serving bowl (9.75" diameter) 1 oval serving platter (9.75" x 13.75") (measurements are approximate) Just acquired from an estate sale, this beautiful set of fine Noritake china is in excellent vintage condition. It has remained in the same family since it was purchased new in the 1960's and has been safely packed away for the last several years. The set is missing one cup and one soup bowl. I have been able to find no chips, cracks or repairs. The round serving bowl has two small dark smudges on the inside that I was able to remove partially with rubbing alcohol but that is the only blemish I could find.
