This action is for seven hard to find oatmeal bowls in the beautiful Noritake Azalea pattern. They have the OLD red M in wreath mark that simply reads JAPAN and the characters and numbers;not MADE IN Japan.These are early Noritake Azalea. These are not to be confused with the common berry/sauce bowls. The rim on this style of bowl flares out. These are rarer pieces that don't come up for sale too often. The painting on this set is exceptional. I have handled hundreds of Azalea items and the floral painting on these bowls is the best that I have ever seen. The white accents in the flower centers are very pronounced. T are two subtle brushstrokes of pink on the one half-white petal of each blossom. T are also two small raised white painted accents on the tip of the central petals. All seven bowls are painted in this manner and they ARE beautiful. The gold is perfectly applied and intact. The bowls measure 5 3/4 inches across and are 1 3/4 inches high. They are perfect for cereal, ice cream,or a side salad. All are in excellent condition and free of any damage or repairs.
