Noritake China Azalea Bouillon Cup & Saucer Set
Azalea Pattern
The Azalea bouillon cup & saucer offered in this auction are white glazed china with handpainted pink azalea flowers, green leaves, and gold.
The handpainted Azalea pattern was offered by the Larkin Company as a premium with purchases and was a popular pattern in households in the 1900s.

The bouillon cup is 2" tall and has a 3 5/8" diameter, not including handles. It has two open handles, one on each side. T is gold around the rim, on the handles and above the blossoms on the front. T are two blossoms with leaves and gold on the front and one bud with leaves on the back. This piece is in good condition with no scratches, crazing, chips or cracks. The gold is completely intact. The bottom has the red wreath mark with Noritake above/ M inside/ Handpainted below/Made in Japan/ oriental symbols/ symbol 19322 symbol. (Please see photo.)

The saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter with a slight well in the center w the cup fits. It has one pink azalea blossom with leaves on one edge and leaves on the opposite edge. T is gold around the rim. This piece is in good condition with no scratches, crazing, chips or cracks. The gold is mostly intact around the rim. The bottom has no mark. (Please see photo.)
