Noritake Morimura Red Mark Art Deco W French Courtier I just purchased this vintage Noritake bowl from a local estate in Central Virginia. The piece has a striking Art Deco design characteristic of the hand painted porcelain produced during the 1920's and early 1930's. The octagonal bowl is beautifully cast with pronounced ribs dividing the arched walls. The interior shows a French / Continental courtier standing on a garden path with ornate bird cage. The hand painted detail is beautifully executed with rich color and fine detail seen throughout. The piece measures 7 3/8" in diameter and 2 ¼" high. The back bears the pictured red Morimura Bros. mark introduced in the 1920's. The bowl is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. T are some ½ pinhead (actually smaller) spots on the blue background which had a factory touch up, but otherwise the finish is in excellent condition. Please check my other listings for the Noritake Deco plate decorated in the same pattern. I DO SHIP WORLDWIDE.
